President/Co-founder/Head coach 

I'm a 50 year old native Hawaiian born and raised in Anahola. I'm a father to 8 kids and 4 grandkids. I found my passion for paddling 18 years ago in my hometown of Anahola. 

Paddling has been my life since the first time I sat in the canoe. I never knew i could love a sport so much. I have found an even bigger passion in coaching and mentoring especially our Keiki. My children are my life so when I started coaching I was able to teach my own keiki how to paddle. Sharing a canoe and my passing my mana'o of paddling to them fills my heart with such joy and pride. I also have a very strong sense of community. My love for my hometown and culture is what made me want to start Anahola Canoe Club. My goal is to unite my community through paddling. Nothing brings me greater joy then getting in a canoe and especially watching those I mentored or coached paddle in a canoe.
